Annual Passholders Receive Preview to EPCOT’s Newest Attraction

EPCOT’s newest attraction is almost open! Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, is an immersive experience coming to EPCOT. Inspired and crafted after the classic film, Moana (2016) focuses on the marriage of water and earth. Moana is an adventurous teen who sees no challenge as too difficult to achieve. In this attraction, Guests walk through a self-guided tour and immerse themselves in the travels.

As Guests wait patiently for a release date, some have been lucky enough to receive a sneak peek. First, the attraction was open and available to select Cast Members to experience. The self-guided tour includes Water Is a Friend, Water Connects Us All, and Water Needs Protection. Cast Members showed their enthusiasm and the joy they experienced in the new attraction on social media.

Now, Disney Annual Passholders will get to share that same experience and preview Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.

Annual Passholders Preview

Annual Passholders are in for a lucky treat this September. Starting on September 24 through to September 29 and October 1 through to October 4, Annual Passholders can preview Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. Passholders with a theme Park reservation for EPCOT on these days can access the preview experience. If an Annual Passholder does not have a reservation for EPCOT on that day, they will not have access to the preview.

Additionally, it’s important to note that registration is not required for this preview. It is also limited to one per Passholder. Disney included, “Offering and operating hours are subject to availability, closures and change or cancellation without notice or liability. Entry is not guaranteed.”

Annual Passholders are the second group to enjoy the Moana-inspired experience prior to its opening date. Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, is still listed to open in late 2023. The guided tour located in World Nature is a unique experience, bringing Guests closer to water than ever before. “You can choose to get wet—or take the dry path instead—as you explore this whimsical, watery world,” Disney writes.
