There have been so many celebrity deaths lately, and it has been difficult for fans to deal with. We just found out that Academy Award winning film editor and producer of Avatar (2009), David Brenner passed away at the age of 59 Thursday morning (February 17).

Brenner worked on the sequel to James Cameron’s Avatar films for about a year before he passed away. He won an Academy Award for his editing on Born on the 4th of July (1989). He is also known for his work on Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011).
There has been a GoFundMe page set up in memory of Brenner. Landau Said that this page is not only to help Brenner family financially but “to let his wife Amber and his children Annie, Haider and Sasha know how many other lives David touched.”
Landau shared that Brenner’s editing skills are “extraordinary” but said the most incredible thing about him was “his remarkable compassion for others and the love and commitment he had for his family.”

He will be truly missed by those who knew him and our condolences go out to his family. There have already been so many celebrity deaths in late 2021 and 2022. It’s been a tough few months.
