The Biggest Piece of Merchandise At Disney Won’t Even Fit On a Parking Tram

What’s the best thing about downtime at a Disney theme park?

For some, it’s relaxing on a bench in the Hub watching people take photos in front of the castle. For others, it’s getting a churro and walking around the quiet areas of the Park. For certain Disney Guests, it’s the shopping.

Merchandise in Disney Parks has always brought joy to children and adults alike, with Guests able to purchase exclusive items not found anywhere else.

From the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A. to the World of Disney at Disney Springs, there are plenty of choices for everyone to find something they’ll treasure as a souvenir.

Since October 1, Disney had released new collections in stores to celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, with Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom all featuring new items for Guests to take home.

Now, though, it seems Disney has introduced a massive piece of merchandise – one so big we’re not sure it would fit on the plane home from your vacation!

Twitter user @guyselga posted a photo showing a huge piece of Disney merchandise at Disney California Adventure:

The box is over 3 feet wide and tall and takes up a whole merchandise unit in the store! We don’t think we’ve ever seen something so large sold in a Disney theme park shop, as Disney Guests usually purchase merchandise and then have to carry it around the Park for the rest of the day.

Of course, Disney does offer Package Check Service, which is available at the Newsstand in Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. They will hold your purchases until you are ready to leave, and if you’re staying at a Resort Hotel, can often ship them to your room.

For those traveling by plane, it would be the same price just have to this sized box sent home. It would probably be cheaper to ship to a residential address than pay the extra baggage fee at the airport.

The box is for the new Mickey Mouse Cardboard Puppet Stage and is sold for $79.99. Disney’s official description of the Mickey Mouse Cardboard Puppet Stage reads:

Ladies and gentlemen, take your seats as the show is about to begin. Mickey’s smiling face is featured on the front of this classic old-style theatre that’s designed specially for you to create your own puppet shows. Constructed of cardboard, it comes complete with admission window and billboard, while its shiny red curtains open to reveal a scenic landscape backdrop.

The cardboard puppet stage includes the theatre and billboard, as well as an admission window, proscenium, red fabric curtains, and a “Now Showing” billboard. It is advertised for children aged 3 years or older and measures approximately: 64” H x 40” W x 31” D.

We’re not even sure the box would fit on the beloved parking tram after a long day at Disneyland Park!

If this tickles your fancy, then maybe order it online instead of carrying its enormous box around the theme parks!

With shopDisney’s free shipping offers for purchases over a certain amount, it may be worth it for both your wallet and your arm strength!
