Walt Disney World is “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” but sometimes that magic can have a difficult time holding up if a fight breaks out between Guests. Unfortunately, we have seen an increase in these types of incidents in recent years, and especially since the Disney Parks reopened in 2020.
The latest fight at a Walt Disney World theme park took place last night, July 20, 2022, at approximately 7:15 p.m. in the Magic Kingdom. According to the video, and screenshots of the incident taken last night, it looks like the fight occurred in Fantasyland between Mickey’s Philharmagic and Peter Pan’s Flight.
The video of the altercation was initially shared to the Walt Disney World Annual Passholders Facebook group. It has since been removed from the group but reshared on Twitter:
This video of a Magic Kingdom fight posted on Facebook is crazy.
But I’m with the person who filmed this. Where is security?? pic.twitter.com/rKnRAgFef2

When video of the fight was initially shared to social media, fans did not know what caused the incident, however, Disney Dining was able to speak with a bystander at the event who provided some explanation.
According to the bystander’s report, the fight was the result of “line-cutting” at Mickey’s Philharmagic, where a Guest (who was the sister of the man in the green shirt in the video) realized she left her phone in an ECV that was parked outside of the attraction and she went to retrieve it.

When she returned to the line to catch up with the rest of her family, the family wearing the white shirts did not want to let her ahead of them in line, and the argument turned violent with the first family coming to the defense of the woman who left to get her phone.
While other Guests and Cast Members attempted to stop the fight to the best of their ability, Disney’s security team arrived after about six minutes from when the fight began. Along with Disney security, Orlando sheriffs officers and an EMS team arrived on the scene, leaving with the Guest wearing the green shirt who reportedly suffered a cut on his face.

As far as further consequences for the Guests involved, we do not have confirmation on what happened beyond what is shown in the video or the bystander’s report, but physical fighting is certainly grounds for removal from Disney Parks, in addition to legal actions that can be taken depending on the circumstances.
If additional details from last night’s incident come out, we will be sure to share an update here on DisneyTips.
