This Disney Park Lets Guests Make Their Own Character Headbands And We NEED One

Character Headbands Feature

Souvenir shopping is a major part of a trip to “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” for many Disney fans, but what if you could make a wearable souvenir yourself? And no, we don’t mean from your local craft store (though that’s fun, too.)

Disney Parks offer several gifts and souvenirs that Guests can create on their own. In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Guests can assemble their own droids, or even follow in a unique Star Wars tradition by participating in Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers.

Other specialty shops that have a customization element around Walt Disney World include Basin, with locations at Disney Springs and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This shop, known for its bath bombs, salts, and other accessories, gives Guests the opportunity to package their own bath salts and bath bombs. And, ornament shops around Walt Disney World (and the Disneyland Resort for Guests near Anaheim, California) can customize ornaments and other holiday decor with family names, dates, and more.

What about more wearable customized merchandise, though? You have to see the latest must-have Disney Parks item…

Tiffany, of @disneydailydetails on Instagram recently shared a video of what just might be the cutest Disney Park accessory we’ve seen. The piece in question is a headband available at Hong Kong Disneyland that allows Guests to choose whichever characters they like to add to the piece.

The headband is also sort of reasonably priced (at least by Disney standards!) with the band itself priced at $9USD, and each character ringing up $13. Here’s how it works:

Unfortunately, we do not have anything like these headbands available here in the States, but we would LOVE to see them come to Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Several years ago, Disney Stores offered Minnie Ear headbands with interchangeable bows, but they never took off as a trend, sadly and have not been available for a long time.

Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and soon Disney Cruise Line, offer MagicBand+ (or DisneyBand+ for Guests vacationing at sea) that come with some customization options, along with T-shirts and other pre-vacation accessories you might come across on shopDisney.

Otherwise, Parks on both coasts offer custom embroidery for Mickey ear hats, but we’re not sure those even compare to how adorable these headbands are.

If a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland is in your future, be sure to keep an eye out for these headbands (and grab one for us while you’re there, please!)
