Disney Will Provide Free Souvenir to Guests in Celebration of 100th Anniversary

As the Walt Disney Company heads into its 100 Years of Wonder Celebration on January 27, Guests will soon receive an exciting free souvenir as a gift from Disney Parks!

The Disney 100 Years of Wonder celebration officially begins this month on the 27th, culminating a century of storytelling and creativity from Walt Disney Animation. In addition to an all-new line of platinum merchandise and new or returning theme park entertainment such as the Magic Happens parade, Wondrous Journeys fireworks, and World of Color — One, Disney will also release new food items and some fun perks for its Guests at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

For instance, the Disneyland Resort in Southern California recently announced new opportunities to visit Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure via low admission rates, earlier Park Hopping hours, and the release of additional Magic Key Passholder slots. In addition, Disneyland Guests will have special complimentary access to Disney’s PhotoPass.

This digital system allows Disney Resort Guests to easily take home a commemorative attraction photo and Disney PhotoPass photographer shoots with special effects or locations. Currently, Guests can access unlimited downloads with the purchase of Genie+ or Disney PhotoPass+ One Day, but soon this feature will be free to all!

However, the gift does come with some limitations. Notably, complimentary downloads during a Park visit may only apply to souvenir attraction photos, which Disney offers for select rides, but not the special Photopass locations, or character meet-and-greets, throughout its theme parks.

In fact, Disney shared the news last week via its Disney Parks Blog, stating that it will allow free “digital photo downloads” from “any Disney PhotoPass available attraction” to thank all of its “incredible Disneyland Resort Guests.”
