Disney Genie+ Reaches Highest Price Point Yet for Thanksgiving Week

Prices have recently been increased for several Disney Park offerings, including tickets, food and beverages merchandise, and more. Disney Genie+ has not been excluded from the increases, especially due to the recent introduction of dynamic pricing.

Genie+, which effectively operates as the paid (and perhaps more complex) version of FastPass+, was originally priced at $15 per person per day, and since dynamic pricing was introduced, the cost of the service has continued to fluctuate based on the time of year and crowd levels in Disney Parks.

With Thanksgiving coming up this Thursday, we are seeing the first holiday week pricing for Disney Genie+ since the dynamic pricing update was introduced. And, as a result, today’s Genie+ purchase price has reached an all-time high.

Guests currently at Walt Disney World looking to purchase Disney+ today, November 21, 2022, have been met with a price point of $29 per person. As theme park reporter Scott Gustin noted in the following tweet, the highest pricing for Genie+ prior to this morning’s update was $22 per person:

As always, this pricing is only inclusive of those attractions that are part of Disney Genie+, not Individual Lightning Lane attractions which come at an added cost. Attractions only available as Individual Lightning Lane purchases include Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in the Magic Kingdom, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Avatar: Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

As for whether or not Disney Genie+ (or Individual Lightning Lanes for that matter) are worth it, Guests are largely mixed with lots of variability depending on how well they know the system and what crowd levels are like in the theme parks on a given day.

Unfortunately for Guests visiting this week, and really now through the New Year, purchasing Disney Genie+ is probably the way to go as Walt Disney World has just about entered its most crowded time of the year.

We will continue to monitor any future changes to Disney Genie+, and will report back with additional information as we have it here on Disney Tips.
