These Disney Films Are Returning to Theatres for a Limited Time

This year’s Disney+ Day is right around the corner on September 8, 2022! The day will come complete with new movies and series on Disney’s streaming platform in addition to special events at Disney theme parks and at a movie theatre near you!

A selection of Disney movies that will be re-released in theatres for a limited time, along with other exclusive benefits for Disney+ subscribers both at Walt Disney World and other Disney Parks and Resorts, and at home.

Among Disney’s theatrical re-releases confirmed by Disney+ are Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), Cars (2006), Encanto (2021), and Newsies. Here’s what you need to know to see these hit movies back in theatres this September.

Fans looking to see this selection of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm movies back in theatres will be able to purchase tickets through AMC beginning on September 1, 2022. Movies will be shown beginning on Disney+ Day, and running throughout the following week, September 8-19, 2022, at select AMC Theatres across the country.

The best part? Tickets for each film screening will be available to all Guests for just $5, and for Disney+ subscribers, theatres will also offer exclusive concessions.
