The experience of multiple Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort rides has been destroyed by guest behavior, according to numerous Disney Parks fans.
A discussion began when Redditor u/double_stomach3875 shared screenshots of a Disney TikTok influencer, @soulful.sarahtonin, live streaming on Disneyland Resort dark rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion. The TikToker used an external lighting device, like a ring light, to make her face more visible on the dimly lit attractions.
NO EXTERNAL LIGHTING!! You’re ruining the ride experience!!!

“Seriously MANY FAMILIES have complained about RING LIGHTS on streamers phones during rides!” the Disney Park guest wrote. “‘Can’t you tell the streamers to turn those ring lights off!!!’ WHY does she have to have SUCH A BRIGHT LIGHT!!! Ugh.”
Dozens of other Disney Parks fans agreed that live streamers’ bright lights and loud conversations with live chats wreck the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort ride experience.
“Thats so weird to have such a bright light,” u/spyprincess said.
“She wants respect but doesn’t give respect to those around her,” u/first-emergency-6827 replied.
Guests whose ride experiences were disrupted are encouraged to notify a Disney cast member once they exit the attraction. Sometimes, Disney cast members will allow guests to re-experience a ride.
Although Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort already ban any behavior that disturbs other visitors, guests can visit Guest Services to advocate for policy changes at the theme parks. In the past, guest complaints and repeated issues have led to the banning of specific filming devices like selfie sticks.
It’s best to stay as quiet as possible and avoid flash photography or other external lighting on Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort rides. Follow all posted rules and instructions from Disney cast members.
