One form of Disney transportation was recently closed for maintenance work (and no, it wasn’t the monorail…It seems any recent downtime for the monorail was not on the official refurbishment schedule!) The latest transportation option to come back online after a refurbishment is the Disney Skyliner, which reopened today, January 30, 2023.
The latest refurbishment on the Disney Skyliner only lasted for about a week, and with no major changes to the system upon its reopening, it appears that all that was done during that time was routine maintenance work.

Having the Disney Skyliner back up and running will be extremely helpful for Guests staying at Resorts along the Skyliner route, which include Disney’s Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century Resort, and Art of Animation Resort. Additionally, the Skyliner has stations at both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT at International Gateway (the entrance to World Showcase).
During the recent closure of the Disney Skyliner, Guests heading to the Resorts featured along the route were able to use bus transportation instead, but the Skyliner certainly offers a more magical experience so we are glad to have it back in action.
