Spring break is in full swing at Walt Disney World Resort, bringing massive crowds to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. For many guests, the sheer number of people has made visiting the parks an overwhelming experience.
Magic Kingdom Overrun With Guests
While many schools are still in session until closer to Easter (April 20), some universities and public schools have already begun their breaks. As a result, Disney Park attendance has skyrocketed, with some guests opting to turn around and leave rather than fight through the crowds.
Earlier this month, Lightning Lane prices surged as Disney prepared for the influx of spring breakers. Now, those crowds have officially arrived, and it’s clear that some guests wish they had splurged on Lightning Lane access.
TikTok user @live.laugh.lem documented their experience at Magic Kingdom Park this week, capturing the overwhelming crowds in a video. “Spring break is in FULL SWING in Walt Disney World!” the Disney Park guest captioned the clip.

In the video, the guest shows a packed ferryboat transporting visitors to Magic Kingdom Park, along with long lines forming before guests even enter the park. Once inside, things don’t get any better. While riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, the TikToker records the TRON Lightcycle / Run queue, which stretches back to Tomorrowland Speedway.
“I can’t even see the end,” he remarked.
The guest also filmed the queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which recently transitioned from Virtual Queue to standby. With guests filling up the start of the queue, wait times stretched beyond an hour.
Although EPCOT didn’t appear in their video, the TikToker claimed that the park’s International Flower & Garden Festival was equally chaotic.
“It was crazy today at EPCOT,” they added.
Disney World Fans React to Crowds
For some Disney Parks fans, the video was all they needed to confirm their decision to stay far away from Magic Kingdom Park this spring.
“The way I’d just turn around and leave,” @picklenerd commented.
“This makes me so anxious,” said @ktgoodtimes.
Still, others pushed back against the claims, arguing that crowds aren’t as bad as they seem—at least if you know how to navigate them.
“Can’t relate,” @i.dont..like..sand wrote. “I went to Magic yesterday and rode TRON twice in standby in less than 50 minutes (20 first time 25 second) and Tiana’s in 45.”
“We went Saturday 3/1 and it was incredible,” @winterswhitewolf replied. “Hit IOA, Epcot, and MK. Veloci, Hagrid’s, Tron, guardians, and Tiana were all accomplished standby!”
Would You Brave Spring Break at Disney?
Whether these crowds are manageable or unbearable depends on the individual guest, but one thing is certain: spring break season at Walt Disney World Resort is not for the faint of heart. If you’re visiting during this time, expect long waits, packed walkways, and sold-out Lightning Lane reservations before midday.
