There’s a specific reason that people from near and far come to visit “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” known as Walt Disney World Resort.

However, even in the most magical of places, there are moments that test the patience and grace of both guests and cast members alike.

Such was the case in a recent incident that unfolded amidst the immersive wonders of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. A family, eager to explore the wonders of the safari expedition, boarded one of the iconic safari vehicles for Kilimanjaro Safaris, ready to embark on a journey through the savannah. Little did they know, their adventure would take an unexpected turn, thanks to a decision that would ultimately leave a lasting impression on fellow guests and cast members alike.

As the safari vehicle rumbled to life and set off on its safari adventure, a parent within the group decided it was the opportune moment to address their child’s needs. Disregarding the sage advice of the Safari Driver and Cast Member accompanying the expedition, they proceeded to change their child’s poopy diaper right there in the vehicle.

In a moment captured by a fellow guest, the warning from the Safari Driver echoed through the air: “Don’t change your child’s poopy diaper on the safari vehicle.” However, despite the clear directive, the deed was done, leading to a chain of events that would unravel the magic of the moment.

The soiled diaper, or at least some of its contents, slipped from the parent’s grasp, landing on the floor of the ride vehicle. Reflecting on the incident, one guest shared their exasperation: “Yeah…some people can really ruin the magic,” the guest shared on Reddit.

As a result of an incident like this, the ride vehicle must close down for a cleaning, which has to be conducted by a Disney Cast Member. This is yet another reason why it’s important to follow the directions of Disney Cast Members and to be considerate of others while in Walt Disney World Resort.

Disney describes Kilimanjaro Safaris as “a truly wild adventure.”

“Explore the Harambe Wildlife Reserve, home to over 30 species living in 110 acres of picturesque open plains, shady forest landscapes and rocky wetlands. Your rugged safari vehicle is driven by an expert guide, who helps point out animals and shares fascinating wildlife facts during this extraordinary 18-minute expedition.

Unique Animal Sightings
Spot a lounging hippopotamus nestled in a peaceful pond. Behold a regal lion sunbathing on a rocky perch. Drive past a towering giraffe grazing on the tall trees or a white rhino relaxing in the cool mud. Other amazing animals you may encounter include cheetahs, crocodiles, elephants, painted dogs, zebras—and so many more!

Since animals have minds of their own, every expedition is a unique and unforgettable experience. Be sure to keep your eyes open and have a camera ready—you never know what you’ll see on a Kilimanjaro Safaris outing.”

Indeed, the magic of every Disney World park– including Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom–  is built upon the collective efforts of guests and cast members to uphold the spirit of wonder and joy that defines the theme park experience.
