As Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary (or “The Most Magical Celebration on Earth”) comes to a close, the Walt Disney Company prepares to celebrate its own anniversary. If you’re visiting Disneyland Resort this upcoming January, you may get the chance to see one of the celebratory events!

It’s almost hard to believe that the Walt Disney Company has been around for 100 years, bringing audiences everything from animated films to live-action films and everything in between. Disney Parks are also joining this celebration, and Disneyland Resort will soon be debuting a brand new nighttime spectacular to commemorate the occasion.
The official Disney Parks Twitter account has just a behind the scenes look at the newest nighttime spectacualr, Wondrous Journeys.

According to the official Disney Parks Blog, Wondrous Journeys will consist of “state-of-the-art projection effects,” special lighting effects, fireworks, and more to bring 100 years of Disney animation to life.
Guests will recognize sequences and references to “every film released by the iconic studio over the past century, with music, characters and special moments from favorite stories.” It doesn’t matter how obscure your favorite Disney film is because this brand-new nighttime spectacular will include a reference.

The official Disney Parks Blog also released a video showcasing what’s going on behind the scenes as the talented composers and performers write the perfect score to go along with this new display.
