Disney’s monorail systems have been a memorable part of visiting the theme parks since the original Disneyland monorail system opened in 1959. In the years since, the system has been expanded to Walt Disney World and the Tokyo Disney Resort, and has grown to enjoy a massive following of fans.

The look of Disney’s monorails is certainly iconic, from the original Disneyland Alweg system to the Mark VI trains Guests currently take to reach the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The Disneyland monorail just debuted its new look to help kick off the Disney100 celebration. The Walt Disney Company is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2023, and the Disneyland Resort will serve as the center of many of the festivities.

We’ve already seen the Resort debut new decor around the theme parks, and are excited to see how Sleeping Beauty Castle looks all dressed up for the occasion. The Disneyland monorail’s new look for Disney100 has already arrived, and includes a stunning platinum-inspired wrap with favorite characters:

As far as the monorail goes, Disneyland’s monorail is the only one to feature the Disney100 wrap so far, but we will continue to monitor updates to the monorail system at Walt Disney World and will be back with more information as we have it.
