Disney’s Iconic Stunt Show Goes Wrong in This Shocking Video

If you’ve ever been to Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, then you’re probably familiar with the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular show.

This live show is full of stunts straight out of an Indiana Jones movie. But for one Guest, an incredibly iconic scene didn’t go as planned during the epic stunt spectacular.

This is the first time I’ve seen this show go wrong. The giant boulder is supposed to come out right after the doors open, but fails on the first take. You can see the actor’s confusion. In Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), audiences may remember the iconic opening, in which Indiana Jones (played by Harrison Ford) narrowly escapes a giant rolling boulder.

In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Guests can watch stunt performers bring this scene to life with the help of practical and special effects.

But in the video, the boulder fails to make an appearance. The stunt performer playing Indiana Jones even shrugs at the very end of the clip.

The Guest who posted the video (@caraboo80 on TikTok) writes, “This is the first time I’ve seen this show go wrong.”

We’re unsure of what could have delayed the boulder’s grand entrance, but it’s certainly worth a failed effect if it keeps the performers’ safety a priority.

Walt Disney World’s Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular takes about an hour to watch, and it’s definitely worth a visit. The attraction is located nearby Star Tours – The Adventure Continues, giving Guests another attraction to enjoy while waiting for the stunt show to begin.

The Disney Park’s official website describes the stunt show as “an action-packed show,” full to the brim of “deadly traps,” fights with bad guys, “leaps from tall buildings,” and “thrilling escapes.”

Not only will the stunts leave you in suspense, but you’ll also get an inside look at the movie magic used to make classic action films such as the Indiana Jones series.
