VIDEO: One Guest Won’t Buy These Disney Parks Essentials After a Price Increase

The holidays have finally come to Disney Parks, and with it comes different decorations, seasonal merchandise, and of course, holiday-themed Minnie Mouse ears.

But recently, prices have been increasing, slowly but surely. Food prices have gone up while quality and quantity have gone down, for example. Ticket prices have also been growing, making a trip to one of Disney’s amazing theme parks more expensive than ever.

Even the Disney Park essential of essentials, Minnie Mouse ears, have been the victim of price increases. These lovely little ears used to cost $29.99 but now cost $34.99 thanks to a five-dollar increase.

Although these stylish ears get cuter and cuter with every collection dropped, one Guest playfully showed her disappointment in a video posted to social media.

Megan, or @themagicalmillennial_ on TikTok, shares the ears she “would buy instantly except I’m still bitter they raised the prices.”

The video shows each pair of utterly adorable Minnie Mouse ears, but Megan pouts at the camera to remind herself to stay strong and avoid the urge to buy them.

Although the adorable video was made in good fun, the bitterness toward price increases really resonated with people in the comments.

One TikTok user writes, “Now it’s to the point I’ll just buy from Etsy they are the same price and hand made,” to which Megan replies, saying, “Exactly!”

Another user writes, “They keep raising the prices on things but not giving their cast members a raise,” showing that some Disney fans are increasingly disappointed with merchandise price raises coupled with other operations.

Although nothing beats a Disney vacation, we definitely can’t deny that even something as simple as a price hike on Minnie Mouse ears can lead to some Guests feeling bitter.

We don’t know where the Walt Disney Company will go from here, but we hope these price hikes come to a halt soon.
