Images shared yesterday reveal Raya appeared in the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, which the Disney World website describes as:
An exciting lineup of Characters embark on a journey through park. Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade features the most Characters of any cavalcade to date, including Mirabel from Encanto and Miguel from Coco—plus so many more!
Moreover, the Adventure Friends Cavalcade route begins at Frontierland, crosses through Liberty Square, and ends down Main Street, U.S.A.
As Disney advertises, it’s known for including a large number of Disney “pals,” including those who would be considered more “rare characters.” In fact, it wasn’t too long ago that another new Disney heroine saw her debut in one of the Magic Kingdom’s Character Cavalcades before receiving her own meet-and-greet with Guests.
Photos shared by Alan McDonald on Instagram showcase Raya in all her glory atop a float for the Character Cavalcade:

Raya sports her outfit from the film, complete with her signature hat, inspired by the Filipino salakot. Raya is Disney’s first Southeast Asian heroine in a feature film.
But Raya isn’t just an heir to a nation, like 2016’s Moana, nor is she the standard model of a Disney Princess. She’s a warrior, trained by her father in a style inspired by traditional martial arts. Raya guards and protects a sacred heirloom for her island, Heart, one of the five Lands in the fictional Kumandra.
McDonald also posted a video to Instagram Reels which features Raya interacting with Guests from the top of her float alongside Disney Pixar’s Princess Merida and Disney Junior’s Elena of Avalor.

Unfortunately, Disney has not released word if they plan to allow Raya to meet Guests at the Walt Disney World Resort, though hopefully, she will very soon!
