A man in EPCOT yesterday created some magic for his fellow Guests while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in a special way: with a Disney holiday popcorn bucket!
It’s holiday time at the Walt Disney World Resort, and from now until the end of December, each Disney Park is celebrating the season. From their festive food and entertainment to holiday attraction overlays at EPCOT and the , there’s magic in store this Christmas at Walt Disney World.
What’s more, one of the most popular seasonal offerings is the Disney holiday popcorn buckets, especially this year’s Musical Holiday Tin Premium Bucket. The popcorn buckets in Christmas colors sell for $28 plus tax and play REAL music as you snack and stroll.
However, many Guests have had a hard time finding this popcorn bucket, and many others, as collectible Disney merchandise tends to sell out fast! Disney fans will remember the long and hard struggle many had to acquire the Figment Popcorn Bucket last January.

Surprisingly, one reason why these items become so hard to find isn’t that Disney doesn’t stock enough or runs out of stock. No, it’s in large part due to a false scarcity created by resellers who visit a theme park to buy merchandise in bulk. These resellers, scalpers, or even “pirates” as some members of the Disney fandom call them online, make their money by depleting the available stock within the Parks and ShopDisney.com in order to turn around and then sell their extra items on websites such as Depop, Poshmark, or eBay at an extreme markup.
Truly, many view the practice as extremely frustrating, unfair, and dishonest. As a result, Disney has even imposed maximum numbers available per Guest for highly coveted items, though often resellers will often max out their limit and return multiple days to buy more.

When one such mom witnessed a huge order while visiting EPCOT Park at the Walt Disney World Resort, she feared the worst. As Laura Demers shared on Twitter afterward, she and her daughter waited in line at a popcorn cart to purchase a Musical Holiday Tin Premium Bucket. Her daughter, Anya, very much wanted one as a holiday souvenir of their visit, and when the man in front of them purchased ten buckets, she worried there wouldn’t be one left for them!
But then, the gentleman surprised them all! Laura shared the story in a Tweet posted yesterday:
In line for popcorn at Epcot a few minutes ago and this gentleman ahead of us proceeds to buy 10 holiday buckets of popcorn ($28 each) and hands them out to all of us random strangers behind him.
