A video released today shows a man jumping from his ride vehicle while on Spaceship Earth at the EPCOT Disney Park in Walt Disney World. Afterward, the Guest proceeded to sit down within a set piece and “hang out” with some of the attraction’s Audio-Animatronic figures!

Plenty of Disney fans would name EPCOT as their favorite Park at Walt Disney World, and for good reason. From its fast-paced attractions to the fun, futuristic atmosphere, not to mention the delicious food and drink at the World Showcase, EPCOT has a lot to love.
Of course, it was one of the last pieces of Disney magic that Walt Disney himself had a hand in. In fact, the talented creator was working on plans for a working city of the same name when he died in 1966.
For many, the Spaceship Earth attraction is a staple of the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Indeed, the ride itself sits inside the Park’s icon, affectionately called the “EPCOT Ball” by many Disney fans. The attraction, which opened in 1982, is a dark ride bringing Guests on a tranquil journey to the past and through the many eras of human achievement.

Obviously, one of the best parts of visiting any Disney Park is the way it will immerse you in other realities and environments through themed entertainment. However, for one man, apparently just riding the attraction wasn’t immersive enough. No, he had to genuinely become part of the scene!
One Disney fan, @pharmd2 on Twitter, captured the moment when the EPCOT Guest escapes his Spaceship Earth ride vehicle:

You can see that he leaped from the car into a section of the ride depicting a mathematics lesson in Ancient Greece while Spaceship Earth was stopped towards the beginning of the ride. As the 16-minute attraction utilizes an Omnimover ride vehicle mechanism, the typically cycling vehicles likely stalled for a wheelchair or EVC transfer, allowing him his opportunity to strike. After this, the Guest sat down in the scene amongst the Grecian mathematicians.
