We are primarily a Walt Disney World website, but we like to share big news about the other Theme Parks in the Central Florida area. One of those is, of course, Universal Studios Orlando.

If you visit Universal, you can go to Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure for Theme Parks. If you’re looking for a Water Park, you can go to Volcano Bay, and of course, City Walk is a popular hangout spot for tourists and locals.
Many Guests have been anxiously waiting for any news about the brand new Theme Park Epic Universe. COVID-19 has put a hold on many of these plans and Guests wonder when it will ever happen.
We just got the news that according to Jeff Shell, NBCUniversal CEO shared on this morning’s Comcast earnings call that Epic Universe will “certainly” be open by 2025.

Shell shared that this project is now “ full steam ahead” and “construction is going very well”.
Epic Universe was announced back in 2019 and would be located behind Icon Park in Orlando to ensure enough space to fill the Resort. In June of last year, Shell also share that this will be the university’s biggest Theme Park in the USA. He said:
“We’re really excited about it size-wise. It’s going to be our largest domestic park and globally t will be just a little bit smaller than Beijing”

Shell went on to explain that Guests can expect to see Super Nintendo World, Epic Universe will be “anchored by a lot of our strong IP, including some of the Illumination and DreamWorks content, but especially Nintendo”.
We can’t wait for more information about this new Theme Park, which has been a long time in the making.
