It’s debatably one of the most popular rides at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Of course, we all know there will be diehard fans of the Tower of Terror, rebels who will choose Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and sad, strange little men who will love anything Toy Story.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Facts
There are a lot of strange and fascinating facts behind the head-banging roller coaster at the end of Sunset Boulevard…things you always wanted to know but were afraid to ask…(maybe)…
It’s Shorter Than You Think
The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is one of the fastest coasters in the world, not in terms of speed or track length but the overall ride experience. At only 75 seconds long, it’s one of the shortest coasters around. Of course…Tron Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom Park may have dethroned that statistic now.

It’s Not as Fast As You Think
The thrill ride only goes to 57 miles per hour. Although the launch feels like a powerful blast into darkness, it’s still not as fast as Test Track (which hits almost 65 mph), or Tron hits a max speed of 59 mph.

The roller coaster cars on the attraction are actually styled after a 1962 Cadillac, not a standard limousine.
You Can Choose Your Ride Song
Each car has a different Aerosmith song. If you pay attention to the license plates when you ride, you may notice this. In fact, you could even request to sit in a particular vehicle train, and the cast member should let you. So, if you have a favorite Aerosmith song you want to ride to…here’s the cheat sheet…
1QKLIMO: “Nine Lives”
2FAST4U: “Sweet Emotion”
BUHBYE: “Young Lust,” “F.I.N.E.” & “Love in an Elevator”
H8TRFFC: “Back in the Saddle” & “Dude (Looks Like a Lady)”
