Like Winter Summerland, the other mini golf venue located on Walt Disney World’s property, Fantasia Garden offers two unique 18-hole courses and is fun for players at any skill level. It’s located right off EPCOT Resort Boulevard and is easy to get to whether you’re staying at any of the Disney Resorts or elsewhere.

The Theme of the Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course

Mini golf is one of the more popular recreational activities featured at Walt Disney World, for good reason. Both of the 18-hole miniature golf courses, opened in 1996, Fantasia Gardens and Fantasia Fairway, are based on the classic Disney movie, Fantasia (1940).

In order to succeed at Fantasia Gardens, your balls will have to pass by marching broomsticks, spinning hippos dressed in tutus, and twirling ostriches, all the characters you and your children remember from the beloved movie. Keep an eye out for Sorcerer Mickey – he may have a few tricks up his sleeve. This is the right course for novice mini golfers and children who may not be all that concerned with mini golf rules.

Fantasia Fairways miniature golf is a bit more challenging. Designed to resemble a traditional golf course only in miniature, these fairways include sand traps, bunkers, sloping greens, and water traps. These 18 holes emphasize skill over chance and will test the abilities of even those who fancy themselves veteran mini golf players. The holes are either par 3 or par 5 and range in length from 69 to 103 feet.

No matter which of the two courses you choose, you will never forget that you’re visiting Walt Disney World. While playing you will be able to view many of the exciting Disney attractions including the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Disney World Swan Hotel and Dolphin Hotel are also visible, and you’ll also find Blizzard Beach Water Park not far from Fantasia Gardens.

Who the Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course Is Suitable For

Fantasia Gardens offers two different courses, each with 18 holes. One is designed for low-key family fun, and the other may be more interesting to those who want to challenge themselves in a skilled competition.

Fantasia Gardens is the correct choice for families with young children or those who just want to spend a pleasant afternoon with the memories of the Fantasia movie. Scoring well is related more to luck and timing than any actual golfing skills.

Fantasia Fairways is the more challenging course. While those who are not skilled at golf can most certainly enjoy playing there, those who want to be able to score par or under should know how to handle a miniature golf club. In fact, Golf Digest voted Fantasia Fairways the longest and most challenging miniature golf course in the world.

Both of the courses at Fantasia Gardens are listed as family-friendly, and children are allowed to play as soon as they can hold a club. It should be noted, however, that although young children are allowed to golf on the Fantasia Fairways miniature golf course, they may not be up to the challenge. Fantasia Gardens may the right choice of all of the nearby mini golf courses for young children.

Cost per Person at Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course

Even in Walt Disney World, miniature golf is one of the cheap activities available to you. But that doesn’t mean that it’s not worth doing. Throughout mini-golf history, it has been an inexpensive way to entertain yourself and your friends and family for an afternoon in central Florida. To play a round of mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens costs $14 for adults and $12 for children aged 3 to 9. Children under the age of 3 are free.

The Premium of Platinum Vacation Packages allows for unlimited mini-golf games for the duration of your stay.

If you’re not staying at the resorts but are visiting Walt Disney World, you can add the Park Hopper Plus option to your Walt Disney World ticket. This option gives you free visits to many of the Park’s extra attractions. You can use these visits at either of the mini-golf courses.
