Refurbishments are a necessary part of keeping Disney attractions show-ready for Guests, and Disney just confirmed the new dates for a previously delayed refurbishment that fans of Frozen (2013) will want to note.

In addition to character meet and greets and the Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire show at the Magic Kingdom that both feature Anna and Elsa, there are Frozen attractions in both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In EPCOT, Frozen fans can embark on a boat ride through Arandelle with Frozen Ever After in the Norway pavilion in World Showcase. And, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Guests are treated to lively interactive performances at For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration.

The rescheduled refurbishment is now set for the Frozen Sing-Along show at Hollywood Studios, and we’ve got the current dates that you may want to note if you are currently planning your next Walt Disney World vacation.

The new refurbishment dates for the iconic Disney’s Hollywood Studios show will be January 9-27, 2023. January tends to be a time when many refurbishments occur at Walt Disney World due to the weather and “off-season,” aside from the holiday weekends and Walt Disney World Marathon weekend.

Disney previously announced that For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration will be getting a new finale sequence for the holidays this year, which led some fans to speculate that the refurbishment would be to complete work required for the new seasonal ending, however, we now know that this is not the case.

Disney’s website now confirms that the January refurbishment of the Frozen show is routine, so the show will likely reopen with refreshed effects and completed maintenance work.

The official description of For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration from Disney reads:

Drift over to your seat in the theater and listen spellbound as the Royal Historians of Arendelle recount the frosty story of their enchanted kingdom. Watch as thrilling moments from the movie play on-screen, then cheer as Anna, Elsa and Kristoff appear to sing along with the audience! Projected lyrics make it easy to belt out irresistible show-stoppers like “Let It Go.”

Other special surprises and magical touches make this show a real royal treat!

If the show happens to be under refurbishment during your next trip, we recommend heading over to the Norway pavilion in EPCOT where you can still meet Anna and Elsa, and ride Frozen Ever After.

We will continue to monitor attraction refurbishments around Walt Disney World, and will update you on future projects as we learn more here on DisneyTips.
