It is an exciting time for entertainment at Walt Disney World!

At the Magic Kingdom, Disney fan are gearing up for the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this fall, with its full lineup of Halloween fireworks, a castle stage show featuring the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus (1993), Mickey’s Boo to You Parade and more.

Over in EPCOT, the full lineup for this year’s Eat to the Beat Concert Series during the Food & Wine Festival was just released, and the park is gearing up to celebrate the holiday season at the end of this year with the return of Holidays Around the World and Candlelight Processional.

And in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond just reopened as a reimagined version of the park’s original show, while Festival of the Lion King will be returning to its full performance later this month.

What about Disney’s Hollywood Studios, though? While we are anxiously awaiting the return of Fantasmic, we did just learn about another favorite show that is scheduled for a refurbishment this summer. Could this refurbishment mean changes are coming? Let’s take a look!

For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration is scheduled to undergo a refurbishment this summer from August 22 through at least mid-September. A reopening date has not yet been posted on Disney’s official website, but the show looks to be closed through the length of the current calendar hours.

While we may not have previously suspected that anything could change at For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, we have to wonder following Disney’s recent holiday announcements.

Among other festive news for the 2022 holiday season, Disney recently shared that For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration would be receiving a new finale scene this winter. Additional details of what the show’s new finale entails have not yet been released, but with a refurbishment scheduled ahead of the holiday season, we have to wonder what might be in store for the show.

It is also worth pointing out that For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration focuses on the first film featuring Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf; Frozen (2013). Since the Disney Park sing-along show follows the story of these characters through the first film, it is possible that we could see updates from the second film, Frozen 2 (2019) in the new finale.
