It has been quite the week for news out of Walt Disney World! New and returning character meet-and-greets have been confirmed across multiple Disney Parks. We’re already halfway to the holiday season, if you can believe it, and we’ve got everything you need to know about upcoming changes at Disney Resorts, and more.

New Character Experiences

Mirabel at Disney California Adventure

Mirabel Madrigal from Disney’s Encanto (2021) will soon be making her Walt Disney World debut! The first character from the hit Walt Disney Animation Studios film, Mirabel will soon be part of the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade that runs daily in the Magic Kingdom.

Minnie will be joining Mickey at his meet-and-greet location in Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom, and she will also be wearing her EARidescent 50th anniversary outfit.

Characters will return to Star Wars: Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This location has not hosted character meet-and-greets since the beginning of 2020, so we are very excited to see the likes of BB-8 and Chewbacca return.

Donald’s Dino-Bash will return to Disney’s Animal Kingdom later this year. The specifics have not yet been announced, but we have some speculations on which characters you might be able to see at this event.
