Along with the new menus and merchandise offered at EPCOT International’s Food & Wine Festival, unique booths supply one-of-a-kind pieces for visitors to take home with them. One of these stands is already a hit with Park Guests!
Artistic Talent Group puts a twist on the classic caricature with custom hand-drawn creations. Who doesn’t enjoy a good giggle at seeing their face drawn in cartoon form?
According to ClickOrlando.com, the company draws the faces of its eager clients onto wine corks! Now there’s something you don’t see every day, which makes it all the more appealing.
The booth is located between Germany and Africa in EPCOT’s World Showcase Pavilion. Keep an eye out for the stand entitled Cork Toons.
Inside the booth, several different artists await their next customer before hand-drawing their faces on a cork. Once completed, the cork is placed in a glass dome for display.
The founder of the Group, Keelan Parham, has drawn caricatures for Disney for almost 30 years. The unprecedented idea came to him during the pandemic, and the quirky title followed not long after.
Realizing he and his wife had a plethora of corks lying around the house, they wondered whether they could be drawn on. After realizing it was possible, they went on a quest to find the perfect type of cork to don a customer’s complexion.
Artistic Talent Group has spent years creating cartoons for private groups along with Disney events, but this is the first time they are retailing their Cork Toons product.
It’s been in the works for a year-and-a-half, but the company is new, so there’s still a learning curve for their creations. Parham states that the key to drawing these custom caricatures well is simplicity.
People have been lining up to get one of these hot-ticket items, so head over to EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival for a chance to purchase your own!
