Today, many Disney Parks Guests visiting for the holidays left disappointed by multiple closures, technical malfunctions leading to lengthy delays, and overall long standby wait times for attractions and experiences around the Resort.
There’s nothing worse than planning out the perfect Disney vacation, perhaps even paying extra for Genie+, a travel agent, or Lightning Lane privileges, only to find the activities you were so looking forward to experiencing will not be available while you’re at the theme parks. Sadly, especially during one of the busiest times of the year for Disney Parks, it often means all the other options will involve a long wait if they’re open at all!

In fact, this is exactly what occurred at the Disneyland Resort today. Firstly, both Disney Parks experienced extremely high average wait times for some of the most coveted attractions, such as WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure and Goofy’s Sky School experiencing 95-minute waits, with Soarin’ Around the World, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! at 105 minutes each as of right now.
Moreover, after a whopping 150-minute wait for the popular Radiator Springs Racers attraction in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park, the ride has temporarily closed, according to wait times on the Disneyland Park app. In addition, Disneyland Stats reported multiple interruptions for Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl today, a holiday overlay of Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters.

Plus, Luigi’s went down for the first time earlier today and remained inoperable for almost six hours according to the statistics site, then shut down a second time for 9 minutes an hour back, then again half an hour ago, reopening after 21 minutes. On top of that, other attractions around the Disneyland Resort have experienced downtime and malfunctions to the dissatisfaction of holiday Guests, including the Storybook Land Canal Boats, Haunted Mansion Holiday, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, the Matterhorn Bobsleds, and Toy Story Midway Mania!
Certainly, this experience must be frustrating for Park Guests who have come to spend a magical day or long-term vacation with family, friends, and loved ones during the holiday break period between Hanukkah/Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
