Experience ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ With D23 in Salem, Massachusetts This Fall

Can’t wait for Spooky Season? D23, Disney’s official fan club, just announced an exclusive event in celebration of Hocus Pocus 2!

The sequel to Hocus Pocus (1993), brings the Sanderson Sisters back to Salem, Massachusetts, for an all-new adventure, and D23 is giving fans the opportunity to experience the next chapter of Hocus Pocus with exclusive events this October.

D23 hosts a day-long event celebrating Hocus Pocus in the city where the story began. Guests in attendance will receive a commemorative map of the city that shares the details on how they can visit locations seen in the original 1993 film.

This special event takes place on Saturday, October 1, 2022. The tour to the film locations is self-guided, leaving Guests the flexibility to break from the hustle and bustle of downtown to head to a hometown movie house for an exclusive screening of Hocus Pocus 2.

And, that evening, Guests will be attending The Black Flame Ball at Salem’s historic Hamilton Hall. In this immersive Halloween costume party, members are encouraged to dress up with looks inspired by the classic Halloween flick. The event includes live music, specialty food, cocktails, and entertainment, along with a couple of tricks, treats, and surprises.

Tickets to the event are available to D23 Gold Members (with each member able to purchase two tickets) for $250 per person on D23.com.

That’s not all, though! If you happen to be spending the weekend in Salem, there is another opportunity to take in a (complimentary) screening of Hocus Pocus 2 during your visit. The City of Salem and Creative Collective are hosting an outdoor screening of Hocus Pocus 2 on Salem Common on October 2, 2022.

This screening is outdoors and seating is not provided, so we recommend bringing pillows, blankets, and hoodies. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are not permitted at the outdoor movie screening, but Guests are welcome to bring a picnic.

Hocus Pocus 2 debuts on Disney+ on September 30, 2022. Disney’s official description of the film reads:

It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.

‘Hocus Pocus 2’ also stars Sam Richardson, Doug Jones, Hannah Waddingham, Whitney Peak, Belissa Escobedo, Lilia Buckingham, Froyan Gutierrez, and Tony Hale. The film is directed by Anne Fletcher and produced by Lynn Harris, with Ralph Winter, David Kirschner, and Adam Shankman serving as executive producers.
