It’s official—Disneyland Resort is stepping further away from its pandemic-era policies, and fans of the Indiana Jones Adventure are thrilled about a specific long-awaited rollback. The beloved attraction has restored its pre-pandemic pre-show, bringing back a bit of magic that had been missing since the COVID-19 shutdown.
For nearly five years, remnants of the pandemic have lingered in Disney Parks operations. While most policies have long been rolled back, specific changes, like modifications to attraction queues, have remained in place—until now.
A Familiar Scene Returns to Indiana Jones Adventure
Guests visiting Disneyland Park’s Indiana Jones Adventure report that the attraction’s pre-show video has returned to its original rotating segments. During the pandemic, the video loop was limited to just one safety spiel featuring Sallah, forcing guests to endure repetitive dialogue if the line moved slowly. For many, this change took away from the immersive storytelling the attraction is known for.
According to Reddit user u/nevec_45, that’s no longer the case. Sharing a photo from their visit, they confirmed that “the Indy pre-show video isn’t just repeating the Safety Spiel anymore with Sallah and [is] back to showing the other pre-show segments.”

“Haven’t seen them do this since pre-covid!” the Redditor added. The post quickly gained traction, with thousands of Disney Parks fans celebrating the return of this iconic element.
Disney Parks Fans React to the Change
Disney Parks fans expressed their excitement over the update, with many poking fun at the repetitive nature of the pandemic-era pre-show.
“SUDDENLY we don’t have to hear Sallah saying SUDDENLY too many times,” u/20ozMonkey wrote.
“I felt so bad for the [Disney cast member] who had to stand in that room,” said u/kinglucent.
One Disneyland Resort fan even took credit for influencing the update. Reddit user u/MainStreetTravel commented:
“You’re welcome fam. I legit dropped off a comment card about this at City Hall every visit for the past 2 years. I’m not kidding. It’s such an easy fix and post-COVID there was no reason [for it]. Finally. I feel like Andy Dufresne.”
