Is the Walt Disney Company Preparing to Fire the President of Lucasfilm?

Beginning with E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982), Kathleen Kennedy has had an extensive career producing some of the most iconic films of the 80s, 90s, and even 2000s.

She’s worked on films such as the Jurassic Park franchise, the Indiana Jones franchise, the Back to the Future trilogy, and more. She’s also one of the co-founders of the production company Amblin Entertainment.

More recently, Kathleen Kennedy has been the president of Lucasfilm for the last ten years, having been appointed in 2012. Needless to say, Kennedy has contributed to the film industry’s top movies with little recognition.

However, there are rumors going around that imply Kennedy’s time as the president of Lucasfilm will soon be over.

In a report made by The Direct, this rumor is given more context and detail. Reportedly, John Campea, founder of The Movie Blog and former editor-in-chief of AMC Movie News, has received insider information regarding this rumor.

According to one of John Campea’s recent live shows on YouTube, “the decision to remove Kathy Kennedy has already been made.” Apparently, Kennedy will be removed from her position shortly before or after the upcoming fifth installment of Indiana Jones.

John Campea continues with a disclaimer, stating,

Now, I want to be very, very clear here: I cannot independently say to you and confirm to you that this is a fact. I will say that one of the two people that have contacted me has a 1000% average on the things they’ve informed me of.
