VIDEO: Sweet Proposal in ‘Star Wars’: Galaxy’s Edge Is Overshadowed as Guest Drops $200 Prop

Whether you’ve worked at a Disney Park as a Cast Member or visited as a Guest, you’ve probably seen a proposal at Walt Disney World.

For couples who love Disney, Marvel, or Star Wars, a proposal at a Disney Park can be a super special way to pop the question.

For one couple, the best place to pop the question was outside of the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Although the video of the proposal is incredibly touching, many fans could only focus on one thing: the $200 lightsaber!

In the video, the Disney PhotoPass photographer taking the pictures directs each Guest, making the proposal incredibly special and even more of a surprise. Not only that, but the Disney PhotoPass photographer catches the newly engaged Guest’s emotional reaction.

Upon being met with the sight of her boyfriend on one knee, the Guest immediately drops her lightsaber, which she was posing with, and begins crying and shaking with excitement.

She says yes, he puts the ring on her finger, they embrace, and the crowd even applauds! It’s a beautiful start to their happily ever after.

However, many viewers in the comments could only focus on the lightsaber as it fell to the ground. One TikTok user writes, “Noooo the light saber but also congrats but again the lightsaber…”

Another TikTok user writes, “SHE DID NOT JUST DROP THAT 200$ LIGHTSABER.”

Someone else also writes, “First thought no the 200 dollars.”

Needless to say, the lightsaber was very distracting.

That being said, nobody can blame her for dropping the prop out of shock. After all, it’s not every day that your partner asks you to marry them at your favorite place!
