One of Disney Parks’ Most Hated Entertainment Offerings Was Just Brought To Life at D23

Small World Cosplay

The “it’s a small world” ride located at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort is oddly one of the most controversial attractions at the U.S. Theme Parks. Fans either love it or they hate it, and it’s all due to one minor reason, the music!

Many people refuse to even board the attraction due to the song’s repetitive nature. D23 is well underway. The three-day event concludes today with some of Disney’s most significant news breaking. One aspect that Disney enthusiasts love is the cosplay element.

Hoards of fans enjoy getting all decked out as their favorite characters in celebration of Disney’s biggest fan event! TikTok creator @snugzmeow shared a video of an incredible cosplay honoring “it’s a small world.”

Twelve people came together fully dressed in white attire, mimicking a scene from the ride that symbolizes the world’s unison. In addition to their elaborate costumes, the group had several props and an entire set planned out.

Perched on some steps in front of the Anaheim Convention Center, they counted to three and then burst into song. Singing “it’s a small world” in unison, the team began moving left and right, mirroring animatronics in the ride.

The performance was terrific but drew mixed reviews in the comment section for haters of the attraction. One user stated, “This is my father’s worst nightmare.” Another chipped in, “Oh God, I can’t escape it.” People that come off of “it’s a small world” after experiencing it often comment on its “annoying” lyrics.

Although the haters will always hate, many adore the nostalgic attraction. Walt Disney famously opened the ride at Disneyland on May 28, 1966, and to some, it evokes nostalgic vibes from a bygone era, making it a treasured experience as well as a staple of the Parks.

So, which side are you on? Do you love or hate this controversial attraction?
