Magic Keys Are Back at Disneyland, But There’s a Catch!

News just broke that Disneyland’s Annual Passes, Magic Keys, are back at the Resort! What’s the catch, you ask? The beloved Passes are only up for renewal, with no new sales available. There are four Keys for Southern California residents to choose from starting August 18, and they all have blockout dates.

Disney has remained silent on the Magic Key program as of late, causing anxiety amongst Guests, but now we have the latest scoop on all the details of the Passes’ return. The four keys are called Imagine, Enchant, Believe and Inspire.

Each key has different blockout dates, and Guests must use the reservation system in order to visit the Parks. Disneyland is offering their usual payment plan for all the Magic Keys, to help make the Passes more affordable.

Magic Keys have a tier system, with the most expensive Passes having the least amount of blockout dates. The Imagine Key is the most affordable Pass, at $449. Next on the list is the Enchant Key for $699. After that, Guests can choose from the Believe Key for $1099, or treat themselves to the highest option on the list, the Inspire Key for $1599.

The Inspire Key is new this year, and The Dream Key, which was formerly offered at the Resort, is currently unavailable. Disneyland has continued to remain silent on whether or not they will bring back Magic Keys for purchase (without renewal.) Some Passholders have Magic Keys that are already expired, but they will be able to renew their passes as well.

New this year, Magic Keys will give Guests in the two lowest tiers a break on parking, with discounts included! Parking is free for Guests who choose the Inspire Key. Also new this year, all Magic Key holders will get a discount on Disney’s Genie+ service.
