Magic Kingdom Brawl Earlier This Year Allegedly Involved Disney+ Star

The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World was the center of a bizarre brawl earlier this year, when two families became physically violent following a member of one of the parties attempting to re-enter the line at Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Fantasyland. Details have continued to come out regarding the incident, and most recently we have learned that a Disney+ star was allegedly involved in the event.

The brawl broke out just outside of the exit of Mickey’s PhilharMagic on July 20, 2022, when a video of the incident quickly spread on social media. The chaotic scene caught on camera shows the outcome of a verbal altercation that took place when one Guest left the queue at the attraction to retrieve her cell phone from her ECV and the opposing family did not want to let her back in line ahead of them.

Ultimately, both families did watch the show, but a fight then ensued between the two groups outside of the attraction:

During the altercation, one Guest was hospitalized to be treated for his injuries, and according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, three were arrested for misdemeanor battery. Multiple Guests involved in the incident were also given lifetime bans from Walt Disney World.

According to a recent tip received by Inside the Magic, it appears that one of the names listed on the original report is the alternate identity of Disney+ star Elijah Richardson, who starred in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) and Hollywood Stargirl (2022).

Inside the Magic’s update reads:

According to a tip received by Inside the Magic, Fuquan Grant is allegedly a false identity for Elijah Richardson, who recently starred in Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Hollywood Stargirl (2022) on Disney+. In body cam footage, Fuquan Grant provided the same birthday as Elijah Richardson: September 24, 2002.

Additionally, Richardson is from New Jersey and publicly identified a Tauheesha and Antuan Richardson as his parents in a 2015 interview.

The actor has not publicly commented on his alleged involvement in the altercation, and while no charges were filed following the incident one of the families has begun to seek legal action. Some of the Guests who were banned are believed to be Disney Vacation Club members, which may help their case should they attempt to appeal their lifetime bans. Disney does not often appeal lifetime bans, but it has been done in rare instances.

We will continue to monitor any updates to the story, and will report back with additional information as it is available here on Disney Tips.
