Major Policy Change at Disney Park

There have been different rules worldwide when it comes to Disney Parks. Here in Florida, at Walt Disney World and in Disneyland in California, face coverings are no longer required except for on indoor transportation.

At Hong Kong Disneyland, the closure has been extended multiple times, and the latest date we are given for its reopening is April 20, 2022.

At Disneyland Paris, it looks like they are following the lead of the parks in the United States when it comes to face coverings. Guests and Cast Members will no longer be required to wear a mask indoors or outdoors.

There is a difference between Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World/Disneyland. In the United States, these theme parks are not requiring proof of vaccinations to enter any of the parks.

At Disneyland Paris, you are required to show proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before entering the Resort. DLP Report shared on Twitter:

Some clarifications on this:

– the update was given to the unions. Official channels should update soon.

– applies to Guests and Cast, outdoors and indoors

– the vaccine pass remains mandatory to enter the Resort.

If you go on the official Disneyland Paris website, they have also given a statement.

In line with French government guidance, face masks are no longer required but remain recommended at Disneyland Paris as of March 2 for experiences such as our parade and nighttime spectacular “Disney Illuminations”.

Guests aged 16 years old and above need to present a Vaccine Pass to enter Disneyland Paris. Find out more information about Vaccine Pass and what qualifies as being considered fully vaccinated here.

For Guests aged between 12 and 15 years old, a Health Pass remains required to enter Disneyland Paris. Find out more information about a Health Pass and vaccination or testing requirements for guests aged 12 to 15 here.

If you are wondering what the regulations are for vaccination, it is described as this on the Disneyland Paris website.

The Vaccine Pass consists of the presentation in digital or paper form of:

– Proof of full vaccination (as defined by the French regulations) OR

– a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 (the result of a positive RT-PCR or Antigen test dated at least 11 days and less than 4months); OR

– a certificate of vaccine contraindications (the result of severe allergic reaction or other medical justification for incomplete vaccination) OR

– a proof of commitment to a complete vaccination scheme, with 3 cumulative conditions of validity as follows: first dose received before February 15, 2022, second dose required at most 4 weeks later, and a negative PCR or antigen test less than 24 hours old to access Disneyland Paris.

As you can see, the policies are extremely different in Paris than they are in the United States, but we can all still do our part to keep ourselves and others safe.
