It has been nearly one month since former CEO of the Walt Disney Company Bob Chapek was ousted by the executive board. In the weeks since, Bob Iger has returned to the top executive position, promising to restructure areas of the company before selecting a successor at the end of his two-year contract.
During this time, Disney fans from around the world have been poking fun at the situation, coming up with several jokes on the firing of Bob Chapek. As it turns out, one of Disney’s biggest fans is none other than actor Neil Patrick Harris, who recently mocked Chapek during his run as a narrator at Candlelight Processional.
Candlelight Processional is a seasonal tradition that spans the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays bringing celebrity narrators to the Park for each event. Neil Patrick Harris is a veteran narrator at the event, returning each year for several seasons to participate in Candlelight Processional.
During his introductory speech at the start of this year’s performance, Harris said, “EPCOT….EPCOT…an acronym, and I’m pretty sure the ‘C’ doesn’t stand for ‘Chapek.’ Too soon?” @waltdisneyworldparks on TikTok shared a video of the interaction:

Harris is known for his love of Disney, visiting Walt Disney World at least annually with his family around his performances of the Candlelight Processional. While his joke may have been lost on some more casual Disney fans, viewers in attendance of this performance have shared assurances on social media that it did reach its target audiences as quite a few Guests in the crowd chuckled.
Earlier this holiday season, Whoopi Goldberg used her time hosting Candlelight Processional to show appreciation for Disney Cast Members, and Josh Gad shared a heartfelt message with the audience:

Disney’s official description of Candlelight Processional reads:
Each night, a celebrity narrator tells the story of Christmas, recounting the biblical tale of a savior born in Bethlehem. Woven into the production are stirring songs of hope and joy performed by the orchestra and massed choir.
Candlelight Processional takes place in EPCOT through December 30, 2022, during the Festival of the Holidays. And more information, including details on dining packages with reserved seating, is available on DisneyWorld.com.
