For more casual experiences around the Park, Guests can enjoy burgers, salads, pasta, and more, finished off with an ice cream sundae at The Plaza Restaurant or family-friendly Italian eats at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant. And we can’t forget the buffet with characters from Winnie the Pooh at the Crystal Palace.
One of the Park’s best table service restaurants tends to fly under the radar, though. And this location, the Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, just added some new menu items that we cannot wait to try!

Disney’s iconic Jungle Cruise attraction inspires Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, so Guests will find nods to the classic ride around the dining areas, along with details taken from the larger backstory of S.E.A., the Society of Explorers and Adventurers.
The inspiration from the Jungle Cruise is not limited to the restaurant’s decor. Cast Members are in character similar to the skippers who operate the Jungle Cruise, and each menu item even stays consistent with the storyline while also providing some delicious eats (often at a decent value, at least for a Disney World restaurant.)
The menu at the Skipper Canteen has undergone several changes since the restaurant opened. Still, a lot of the original staples remain like the Falls Family Falafel and Orinoco Ida’s Cachapas appetizers and the “Tastes like Chicken” Because it is! and “Hardy Har Char” Siu Pork entrees. Some of the new menu items are updated versions of past entrees, while others are entirely new (but they all look delicious!)
New items on the menu at Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen include:
- Irrawaddy Irma’s Hanger Steak: Ginger and Soy-marinated Sliced Hanger Steak served with Garlic Rice, Frisée, and Pickled Onions
- Baa Baa Lamb Chops: Spice-rubbed Lamb Chops, Chermoula, Cauliflower, Potatoes, Cipollini Onions, and Harissa Sauce, garnished with Preserved Lemons and Herbs
- Skipper Dan’s Dan Dan Noodles: Thin Noodles tossed in a savory Spicy Chili Sauce topped with Crispy Pork, Pickled Mustard Greens, Radish, and Cucumbers
- Enchanted Orange Dream: DOLE Whip® Orange blended with Vanilla Soft-serve and served with an Orange Candy rim

As far as Disney restaurant pricing goes, the new items on the menu at the Skipper Canteen also seem to be a good value for Guests looking for a table service meal in the Magic Kingdom. Both Irrawaddy Irma’s Hanger Steak and
Baa Baa Lamb Chops are priced at $38 while Skipper Dan’s Dan Dan Noodles (and most of the restaurant’s entrees) are priced at $26. The most affordable option is the Curred Vegetable Crew Stew for $19.
Fans of DOLE Whips will need to try the Enchanted Orange Dream during their next trip to the Skipper Canteen. While DOLE Whips are an iconic Adventureland snack, it is not often that you see DOLE Whip treats exclusive to a Disney table service restaurant, and this one looks delicious!
