Disney’s Beach Club Resort has a lot going for it – great theming, convenient location, and deluxe accommodations. But one of the things we love best about the Beach Club is that there is so much to do there without going into the parks. If you’re staying at the Beach Club for several days, we definitely recommend planning in a resort day to enjoy everything it has to offer! Here are some tips for planning an awesome resort day at the Beach Club!

1. Enjoy Crescent Lake in the morning
If you’re an early rise, head out for a stroll around Crescent Lake. It’s fun to see the world around the lake waking up, and to watch people hustle to the parks as you meander with a cup of coffee and the whole day in front of you. Have littles in tow? Early morning is a great time to play on the beach!
2. Eat breakfast with Minnie and friends
The Beach Club’s Cape May Café features Minnie’s Beach Bash breakfast, where you can enjoy the all-you-can-eat buffet while meeting Minnie and her friends who are decked out in their beach gear. This breakfast is known for it’s laid-back vibe and great character interactions.
3. Spend the day at Stormalong Bay
The Beach Club is home to one of the coolest pools on Disney Property. Stormalong Bay is 3 acres of pools, waterslides, beach, lounge areas, and hot tubs. Little kids will enjoy building sandcastles and wading in the shallow area, while older kids will want to ride the 230-ft slide again and again. With sand-bottom areas, a lazy river, waterfalls, and sinking sand, you can definitely spend several hours here and not get bored. Looking for refreshments? Grab a snack or drink (including adult beverages) from Hurricane Hannah’s which is located poolside! If you want to splurge, you can even rent a cabana for a half or full day.

4. Dine your way
With the Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin just a short walk or boat ride away, you can plan a dining experience for dinner that is perfect for your family. Looking to get dressed up for an amazing steak dinner? Check out the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club or Shula’s at the Dolphin. Interested in Italian? Take the boat over to Trattoria al Forno at the Boardwalk, or for more casual fare grab a pizza from the take out window and enjoy it on the Boardwalk grass. If you’re a seafood lover, stay close to home and head back to Cape May Café for their nightly clam bake.
5. Take your pick of evening activities
After dinner, you can stay at the Beach Club, where there are plenty of options for entertainment. You can hang on the beach for a campfire and movie under the stars, and you might catch sight of some fireworks coming from EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. If you didn’t get your fill of swimming during the day, try visiting one of the resort’s three quiet pools for a swim under the stars. If you’re willing to venture a little further away, embrace a traditional vacation favorite with an evening round of miniature golf at the nearby Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf course. Adults can enjoy a nightcap at Martha’s Vineyard lounge, or if you’re up for a little more excitement head over to the Boardwalk for the dueling pianos at Jellyrolls.
