Fans of A Goofy Movie (1995) have been hoping for more inclusions from the film in Disney Parks, and it seems like they are getting their wish!
On occasion, Max and Goofy have been known to perform their iconic “perfect cast” dance routine as seen in the Powerline concert in the 1995 animated classic. Still, these dances have never been regularly scheduled or available to the majority of Guests. Most Guests who have seen the characters taking on their Powerline number have attended Moonlight Magic events, which are exclusive to members of Disney Vacation Club.
With all things ’90s gaining a resurgence in popularity and fans of A Goofy Movie longing for the feeling of experiencing a Powerline concert for themselves, Disney is now gearing up to create some extra special magic for some upcoming trips to the Magic Kingdom Park.
In A Goofy Movie, Max Goof channels pop sensation Powerline in a performance at his school. And, (spoiler alert!) the film ends with him bonding with his dad, Goofy, adding a unique spin that only Goofy could to Powerline’s performance.
As a brand new addition to this fall’s events, Max Goof will be appearing in a Powerline cosplay at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom.
Theme park journalist Scott Gustin shared the exciting news of Max’s appearance on Twitter along with a quick teaser video of the performance:

Max will make his iconic in-Park Powerline appearance before Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade along with his “90s crew.” We are waiting for additional details from Disney on the exact timing (likely before or after the Headless Horseman makes his way down the parade route) as well as who will be included alongside Max.
Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade runs two times during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The second run of the parade is typically less crowded and easier to secure a prime viewing location, but with this exciting addition to the event, you may want to catch both!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to the Magic Kingdom this month for the first time since 2019, and many dates have already sold out. Limited tickets remain for parties in August, and Halloween night is sold out. If you are planning on attending to see “Powerline” debut at the Magic Kingdom, we recommend getting your tickets as soon as possible at DisneyWorld.com.
We will continue to share updates on Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party as we have them here on DisneyTips. Happy Halloween!
