Multiple Disney Resort Pools Set for Upcoming Refurbishments

Planning your next trip to Walt Disney World? One of the best ways to take a break from the theme parks is to head back to your Disney Resort for a dip in the pool in the middle of the day.

Whether you already have your accommodations booked, or your are still looking for a place to stay for an upcoming trip, you may want to double check Disney’s refurbishment schedule as pools at multiple Disney Resorts have closures on the calendar.

According to Disney’s official website, pools at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter will all be closed for refurbishments from approximately January 2024-April 2024.

Disney’s update on the resort pool refurbishments reads:

From January 2024 through April 2024, [Fantasia Pool at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Fuentes del Morro Pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and the Doubloon Lagoon at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter] will be closed for routine maintenance. Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours.

While the pools are under refurbishment, Guests at All-Star Movies are still able to use the Resort’s Duck Pond Pool, those at Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter can use the Ol’ Man Island pool at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has an additional five leisure pools that are available to all Guests staying at the Resort.

Looking for more ways to cool off at Walt Disney World? While Disney does have two theme parks, only Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is currently operating, with no reopening date announced so far for Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park. The good news? Advance reservations are not required to visit Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, so as long as you purchase water park tickets you can enjoy a spontaneous trip to the Park!
