One Million Moms is issuing parents an ‘urgent warning’ about a new cartoon that recently premiered on Disney’s FX. The animated series is entitled ‘Little Demon’, and the plotline does not leave much to the imagination.
The story follows a woman who was impregnated by Satan. Yes, you are reading that right. Thirteen years earlier, she gave birth to her daughter, who is known as the Antichrist. As the single mom and her daughter try to live a normal life, they are constantly pursued by Satan and his forces.
The devil wants custody of his daughter’s soul and relentlessly harasses her. Although the series is for adults, it has caused quite a backlash. Videos have surfaced all over social media, with many disgusted and disturbed by Disney’s content.
The Christian Post reports that One Million Moms, a division of the American Family Association, is taking action in response to the show. The Christian conservative group has around 17,000 signatures, and numbers continue to climb.
Disney+ started adding more adult content to its streaming platform this year, causing concerns for families. This led to several people reportedly canceling their subscriptions. Others are now following suit, showing disdain and disapproval for Disney’s new series. A YouTube video posted by CBR Presents shares an interview with the cast.
Aubrey Plaza is one of the show’s executive producers and also stars as the single mom. She had this to say about ‘Little Demon’, “I love that we are normalizing paganism. Laura is a pagan, she’s a witch, she’s jacked, she’s gotta protect her daughter from demons, and she’s gotta get her house in order.”
‘Little Demon’ premiered on FXX on Thursday, August 25. The show became available for streaming the following day on Hulu and will also be arriving on Star+ and Disney+ internationally. So, will you and your family be watching?
