R-rated movies Logan (2017), part of the X-Men (2000) series, and Deadpool 1 (2016) and 2 (2018) have finally arrived on Disney+. This is exciting news for fans of the Marvel franchise, as the movies basically complete the collection that already exists on the platform.

For those who don’t know, Logan was produced in part by Marvel Entertainment. Recently, as seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), fans saw a link between the current cast of Marvel characters and characters from the X-Men series.

Patrick Stuart reprised his role as Charles Xavier, the powerful mutant with telepathic powers. Other new mutants, such as Reed Richards, played by John Krasinski, were also introduced.

As for Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds plays the fictional character who appears in comic books published by Marvel. The humorous character has a unique storyline, known at first as an antihero but later becoming more heroic.

Fans have been divided recently, as Disney+ has been adding more adult-themed content onto their streaming platform. Some parents no longer feel the service is safe for their children, leading them to cancel their subscriptions.

The Deadpool movies and Logan are filled with adult content that includes sex, nudity, and foul language. While Disney+ does provide parental controls, this doesn’t seem to alleviate the concerns of parents wanting to protect their children from inappropriate material.

It’s clear that Disney has been attempting to market to a more adult demographic as of late, with the addition of several new R-rated films. With competition from other streaming services, it seems as if the company wants to maintain its place at the top when it comes to entertainment offerings.

Fans wonder if this recent move suggests that more X-Men characters, or Deadpool, will be seen in upcoming Marvel movies. For now, the big question is, will Disney be creating new, adult-themed content, or will they simply be releasing films they’ve already made?

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see! What do you think about Disney’s addition of more adult content on Disney+?
