The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is Disney’s latest totally immersive experience offering Guests a two-night getaway aboard the Halcyon. During this galactic experience, Guests are able to become a part of their own Star Wars story while interacting with Star Wars characters and playing a role in the outcome aboard the ship.
As a complete immersive experience, Guests aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser follow an itinerary that keeps them onboard the ship with the exception of a day spent exploring Batuu, aka Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
For the first time since the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser launched earlier this year, the ship was evacuated with Guests being directed outside to the back of the ship, which is located behind Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
@jp_visits_disney was a Guest at the time of the evacuation and shared some photos of the event to Instagram:

According to social media posts, the evacuation only lasted about 30 minutes or so, and Cast Members were able to assist Guests as they unexepectedly stepped outside into the Central Florida heat and humidity.
We have not been able to confirm the reason for today’s evacuation of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, but a fire engine can be seen in the background of one of the photos:
Disney Parks and Resorts always take Guest and Cast Member safety very seriously, and that is no different aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Since the ship is fully enclosed (and as a result Guest cabins are windowless) there are emergency exits located in each room.
Additionally, at the start of each voyage, Guests are made aware of the difference between an alarm that is part of the storyline of life aboard the Halcyon and an alarm that could signal an actual emergency.
Thankfully today’s evacuation only caused a brief disruption for Guests on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, with everyone getting back to their storylines and work for either the Resistance or the First Order very quickly.
Hoping to cruise aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser for yourself? Voyages are certainly one of the more splurgeworthy Walt Disney World experiences with stays starting at $4,800 for two-three Guests.
