Disney Wish, the newest vessel to join the magical Disney Cruise Line fleet, boasts several firsts compared to its predecessors. The staterooms onboard reveal a smarter, more sophisticated design Imagineers likely incorporated after researching prior builds.

Disney Parks Blog describes their desire for the staterooms to be “a luxurious, peaceful retreat steeped in enchantment and inspired by dreamy Disney stories.” With an elegant design, touches of Disney magic are sprinkled across every room aboard the ship.

The color palette focuses on gentle, muted tones, with intricate, embroidered linens donning cozy-looking beds. Disney-inspired art pieces line the walls in each cabin.

Elaborate details such as gold leaf trim on headboards provide an elegant touch to the rooms, but don’t let the fancy details fool you. The ship offers an abundance of practical features, including plenty of space in the cabins, as well as storage galore!

Most staterooms come complete with Disney’s signature split bathroom concept, a super convenient feature for Guests during the getting ready stage of the day. A sink and toilet in one room and a sink and shower in the other, allow Guests more space than the somewhat confined quarters typically expected on a cruise ship.

Now for the firsts I referred to at the beginning of this article. The concierge staterooms and suites aboard the Disney Wish amount to more than twice as many as any other Disney Cruise Ship.

Seventy-six upscale rooms adorn the floating palace, each with a Tangled (2010) theme to unite them. Another first of their kind, the Royal Suites are decorated in a Sleeping Beauty (1959) theme.

There are only four of these units, and you can differentiate them by their names. Two are Princess Aurora Royal Suites, and two are Briar Rose Royal Suites.

Now, for the crowning jewel of the ship! Located in the forward funnel of the vessel lies the Wish Tower Suite, another first of its kind. This luxurious penthouse allows up to eight Guests and measures a whopping 1,966 square feet.

With stunning ocean views and top-of-the-line Disney service, this spacious, Moana (2016) inspired room will take your breath away! Disney Wish sets sail on its maiden voyage July 14, when it will be open to the general public.
