Ever wanted to actually live at Disney?

Well, they might not have the Cinderella Castle of Walt Disney World or the Avengers Campus of Disneyland Resort, but Disney’s new communities might be your answer!

Today, February 16, Disney announced its new business venture, “Storyliving by Disney”, and wow, do these communities look magical!

Storyliving by Disney will feature communities designed by Disney and full of the Disney magic touch we all know and love. Each neighborhood will be distinctively designed, with unique amenities and Disney’s world-renowned service.

All of these new communities will cater to those looking to write the next chapter of their lives with Disney, and if we had the money, we’d totally be there!

We’d all love to wake up to Disney’s magic, and though these vibrant new neighborhoods won’t include the thrills of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, they will involve the Walt Disney Company’s special brand of magic.

As more and more fans look for new ways to make Disney a bigger part of their lives, they can head to these master-planned communities that are, according to Disney, “intended to inspire residents to foster new friendships, pursue their interests and write the next exciting chapter in their lives—all while enjoying the attention to detail, unique amenities and special touches that are Disney hallmarks.”

And where will the first Storyliving by Disney community be?

The first-ever special Disney neighborhood will be built in Rancho Mirage, in California’s Coachella Valley.

Disney history fans may recognize this location as the place where Walt and Lillian Disney themselves owned a vacation home and would spend time with their family.

Additional locations in the U.S. are under exploration by Disney for future development and we will reveal them as they are announced.

“For nearly 100 years, Disney has shared stories that have touched the hearts and minds of people all around the world,” said Josh D’Amaro, Chairman, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. “As we prepare to enter our second century, we are developing new and exciting ways to bring the magic of Disney to people wherever they are, expanding storytelling to storyliving. We can’t wait to welcome residents to these beautiful and unique Disney communities where they can live their lives to the fullest.”

At each location, including some neighborhoods for residents ages 55+, there will be actual Disney Cast Members operating the community association.

Through a club membership, Disney will also provide access to curated experiences, such as wellness programming; entertainment ranging from live performances to cooking classes; philanthropic endeavors; seminars, and much more.

Many Disney fans will, of course, remember Disney’s first entry into the housing market – the construction of Celebration in Kissimmee back in the 1990s.

Celebration is a master-planned community in Osceola County, Florida, located near Walt Disney World Resort and originally developed by The Walt Disney Company. After founding Celebration, Disney followed its plans to divest most of its control of the town. The town itself is connected to the Walt Disney World theme parks via one of its primary streets, World Drive, which begins near the Magic Kingdom.
