Disney attractions are one of a kind. Disney has something for everyone regardless of the kind of rides you enjoy. Although often misinterpreted as a theme Park for children, many rides have height requirements making that less than true. Oftentimes Magic Kingdom is misconstrued as a family Park, but it holds some of Disney World’s most thrilling rides.
As a thrill seeker and Disney fan, you’re probably already aware of this fun fact. But Magic Kingdom isn’t the only place to get your heart and adrenaline pumping. In fact, EPCOT’s newest attraction may just be the most exhilarating of all the thrill rides offered at Disney World.
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom has four of the most thrilling rides in all of Disney World. Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are also offered at Disneyland, giving you two places to enjoy the same thrill.
- Space Mountain
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- TRON Lightcycle / Run
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
TRON is Disney’s newest roller coaster in Magic Kingdom and is “one of the fastest roller coasters in all Disney Parks around the world,” Disney writes. While Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad require Guests to be 40 inches or taller, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train requires 38 inches or higher, and TRON Lightcycle requires the tallest at 48 inches or taller. What’s most fun is any Guest seeking thrills can ride all four of these attractions without having to Park hop!
EPCOT
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is an experience like no other. “Hold on tight and get ready for twists, turns, and surprises that defy gravity and ignite your senses,” Disney details. Additionally, “The ride also features Disney’s first reverse-launch roller coaster,” Disney Dining reports. It is also the largest fully enclosed coaster in the world, not just in Disney Parks!
Animal Kingdom
Embark on a journey with the mythical snow creature on Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. In Animal Kingdom’s Asia area, Expedition Everest has big drops, high speed, and a broken track you’ll hope to escape before it’s too late.
Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios offers a mind-blowing race to a concert with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Starring Aerosmith, their hit songs such as “Walk This Way,” “Dude (Looks Like a Lady),” “Sweet Emotion,” and “Back in the Saddle” can be heard throughout the ride.
If rock music isn’t your jam, Slinky Dog Dash brings Toy Story (1995) to life. Different from Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Slinky Dog Dash is fully outside. “Feel the wind in your hair as you zigzag along the track, bend around curves, zoom up hills, and drop back down, taking in spectacular views of Toy Story Land,” Disney describes.
If you’re a thrill seeker, add these to your Disney bucket list. If all you enjoy are roller coasters, purchasing a Park hopper will allow you to experience multiple coasters in one day!
