Meet and Greet Mirabel
Although not particularly noticeable to a casual Guest passing by, it is a clear sign that Disney is moving forward with its plans to remove the Merida meet and greet near the castle and introduce Mirabel from Encanto (2021). For the past decade, Merida from Pixar’s Brave (2012) welcomed theme park Guests in the garden next to Cinderella Castle. But earlier this month, she was relocated to a new spot at Liberty Square. Before Merida, those visiting the Magic Kingdom could meet Rapunzel and Flynn Rider in Fairytale Garden.

The new Mirabel meet and greet will be decorated to resemble the Casa Madrigal from Encanto (2021). The Disney character has only previously appeared during runDisney races, and this will be her first permanent home in a theme Park since the movie came out two years ago.
Green scrims have been erected around the location, and the new meet and greet will be open this fall, although an official date has yet to be posted.

Another Disney Character?
In addition to her confirmed space, many Disney Park fans are also curious if there will be any other characters from Encanto (2021) meeting Guests there as well. Bruno is the one many people are speculating may join her (if anyone) due to Walt Disney World recently holding casting auditions for the character. Granted, these could just be for special appearances during holidays or parades, but you never know. Disney loves to tease ideas and surprise theme park Guests!
