A recent unpopular change has been reversed at Universal Orlando Resort.
Like all theme parks, change is part of the package at Universal Orlando Resort. The next few years are packed with exciting changes for the resort, including the official opening of DreamWorks Land, the new nighttime show Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular, and the debut of Universal’s third theme park, Epic Universe.

At the same time, there will likely also be some sad goodbyes in the coming years. While Universal hasn’t made any official confirmation just yet, there have been plenty of rumors that Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit will soon meet its end after years of disruption.
On a much smaller scale, Universal recently made a minor tweak to the resort that sparked disappointment among regular parkgoers.

Last week, Universal guest Ethan Hershaft noticed that the themed audio within each of the six themed parking garages – such as the Jaws theme song in the Jaws lot and “You’re A Mean One, Mr Grinch” in The Cat in the Hat area – had been removed, and a generic new announcement added to each lot.
New audio spiels have been added in both Universal parking garages, moving walkways, and the security hub before the security checkpoint.
Seems like themed audio has been removed in the garages for each of the 6 characters where guests can park.

The new announcement said: “Welcome to Universal Orlando Resort; please make note of where you parked. To access CityWalk, Universal Studios Florida, and Islands of Adventure, please proceed to the level 3 walkway. Information for all parks can be found by downloading the Universal Orlando app. Please watch your step. Transportation to Volcano Bay is located on ground level 1.”
Fans weren’t overly impressed by Universal stripping themed elements away from the resort. However, there wasn’t much to worry about, as Hershaft reports that the unique audio announcements have now been restored to each parking lot.
Update:
Since my last visit, themed audio has returned in the Universal parking garages, “Moving walkway exit is approaching” audio has returned, and new audio spiels have been removed.

While the new message did have its perks from an operational perspective (because, yes, sometimes we do need reminding to check where we parked before racing off to Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure), we have to say that the nostalgia of the original themed audio is far superior in our eyes.
