Between Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, there are six different Disney Parks, making for many friendly debates between fans. Many classic Disney attractions, such as the Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, “it’s a small world,” Pirates of the Caribbean, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, have been duplicated across Disney Parks so more Guests can enjoy them.

Splash Mountain is one of the most popular duplicated attractions, and it has even been causing a stir lately over the upcoming closure and Princess and the Frog (2009) retheming. As the log flume makes the descent (with Cinderella’s beautiful castle in the background), Guests scream in excitement before being splashed with a generous amount of water. The Guest sitting in front may get soaked, they will definitely get wet, and the Guests sitting behind them may get a little wet as well.
However, over in Disneyland Park, the log flume takes the plunge, and the Guest sitting in front is absolutely drenched. There’s no doubt that Disneyland’s version of Splash Mountain will leave Guests soaked, sometimes for an entire day. Over at Magic Kingdom, while you get a stunning view of the iconic castle, you will not get as wet from the drop.
