The next thrill ride to arrive at a Disney Park has been under construction for several years (in fact, construction for this one attraction has taken longer than construction on the entire Magic Kingdom itself!)
TRON Lightcycle / Run first opened at Shanghai Disneyland in 2016, with a new version of the attraction set to (finally) open at the Walt Disney World Resort in Spring 2023. Along with construction on the new attraction itself, work on the new Tomorrowland roller coaster has impacted the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. shop, which serves as the exit to Space Mountain, and the Walt Disney World Railroad.

Since the opening timeline for TRON Lightcycle / Run was announced earlier this year, Disney fans have been hoping to hear of an earlier reopening date for the Walt Disney World Railroad. This iconic Magic Kingdom attraction circles the perimeter of the Park with stations on Main Street, U.S.A., U.S.A., Frontierland, and Fantasyland; however, it has sadly now been closed since 2018.
Disney has even teased the return of the Walt Disney World Railroad for several months by showcasing Cast Members returning to the attraction and photos and videos of the trains testing on social media. While Disney has not shared any further official updates on the status of the railroad, new video shared to Twitter by @touringplans has shown a new milestone as a train is seen moving through the TRON tunnel:

While the railroad has been closed, Guests have sometimes been able to get a closer look at the authentic antique trains while they are located in the Main Street, U.S.A. station, and Cast Members have since returned to the Fantasyland station to assist Guests until the ride reopens.
